ARTIST STATEMENT

"I haven't drawn the Lupin gang as much as I'd like but they are near and dear to my heart and instrumental in my tastes in art currently. The series being this dynamic mix of comedy and action thats unlike anything else of its medium (that isnt directly imitating or tipping its hat to it in some way) is something that super duper informed the stuff I like.

In terms of characterization, something that I love about them that you don't see really anywhere else is their very cute weird "totally not a polycule" dynamic that comes and goes, but is exemplified best in Mystery of Mamo with what can only be called the Lupin Jigen Fujiko love triangle. I wanted to depict that sort of almost domestic but not quite aspect of the characters with a big collage thats an homage to the many scenes they're kind of just chilling and eating together, I hope I got the vibe across."
