ARTIST STATEMENT

"Lupin is dead, again. They're used to it by now, but this time, it's different. This time, they almost died too and even if they happened to be injured in the past, becoming physically handicapped changes life forever. Fujiko, Goemon, Jigen and Zenigata all stopped hoping for the usual resurrection after so many years, they had the time to rebuild themselves, to get older, to experience a life and to know who they are without Lupin.

So why the hell, after fifteen years, the best thief the world has known has the audacity to stand just behind them, with a shit eating grin and a confident voice teasing them ? Rebecca warned him, they're not going to like his comeback. He's going to be surprised that he is in fact not needed anymore by his former friends and that they are even angry against him for being alive. Maybe time would ease the sentiment of betrayal but for now, Lupin will have to learn to live in solitude, just like what he imposed on the gang by disappearing for so long."
