ARTIST STATEMENT

"There's a lot to go off of when a series has been around since the 70s, so this project was a liiiittle intimidating to me at first, especially since I've had an aversion to drawing fanart for things I really really love for fear that it wont live up to the original.

So how do you get over that fear? Duhh bright colors and pretty girls... In all seriousness though, I felt really challenged by this piece and could not be prouder of the end result, especially love the little slot machine lupins in the back. I'm super grateful to this zine for pushing me to create for a series that has been inspiring me for years <3"
